NorthStar Battery - Pure lead AGM battery
Marine Dual purpose battery
This is no ordinary battery, it’s a world of difference compared to conventional acid-lead batteries. This pure lead battery has massive cranking power sufficiently strong to start the most demanding engine. And resourceful enough to power the many on-board electronic accessories common in today’s boats. This battery offers: longer life time, faster recharge, no leaking, no acid to check, more resistance to vibration, twice the cycles se of a standard battery, low self-discharge rate and more….
99.99% Pure Lead grid plates
These plates can be made thinner than conventional battery plates mixed with alloys, which means more can be added to generate even more power. They are inserted mechanically into the battery under high compression, which improves performance and vibration resistance. Since they are no alloys and additives, there are no corrosion and component aging inside the batteries.
Powerful Battery - Faster starting
More than twice the cranking powers of conventional lead marine batteries. Up to 2,150 pulse amps for the first 5 sec. (1000 MCA at max for lead batteries).
Low self-discharge rate
The voltage stays higher and stable for longer periods of time than standard deep cycle batteries.
Faster recharge;
Can handle more power than other batteries, to be recharged as fast as 1 hour!
Lifetime
Exceeds conventional battery life expectancies; 3-10 years of service.
No corrosion and component aging.
More cycles
Up to 400 at 80% discharge; this means twice the use of a standard deep cycle battery.
Sealed design
AGM (absorbed glass mat) design eliminates acid spills
Can be mounted on any side in any position except inverted.
Gases recycled internally during operation or charging
Totally maintenance free
No need to add water, ever!
Vibration and resistance
Engineered to withstand the constant pounding of the water
Strong plastic housing design protects against high impact shock and mechanical vibration
Extreme temperature tolerant - Operating temperatures from -40°C (-40°F) to 80°C (176ºF).
